Fresh & Cream Cheese

Savoury Filo Fingers


  • 200g South Cape Savoury Cream Cheese (Onion & Chive or Pepper)
  • 80g butter, melted
  • 6 sheets filo pastry, cut in half lengthways
  • poppy or sesame seeds, for sprinkling
  • tomato salsa, for serving


Cut savoury cream cheese into 12 wedges, and roll each into a log shape. Brush each strip of filo pastry with butter, place a cheese log on the short side and roll up into a cigar shape, folding in the edges to enclose the cheese. Brush with butter, place on a baking tray, sprinkle with seeds and bake at 220°C for 8-10 minutes or until golden. Serve warm with tomato salsa.
