Method
Whisk egg, butter and milk together in a jug. Combine flour, sugar, spice, dates and walnuts in a bowl, make a well in the centre and mix in milk mixture until combined. Spoon into 12 buttered muffin pans and bake at 190°C for 15-20 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool. Make a diagonal cut into the top of each muffin and insert
